Stephanie Fradette is the fibre artist behind the brand “Le Petit Moose”, a nod to her French-Canadian roots.

The Scottish-based artist blends bold colours into her woven, knotted and tufted wall hangings, showcasing rich textures, contemporary design and craftsmanship.

Woven and interwoven…

Stephanie focuses on creating distinctive textured works, drawing on structural and layered horizons often inspired by the ever-changing coastal landscapes from her world travels. Bold hues and gradient colour is at the forefront of her work, creating a modern perspective on mid-century style. Her latest collection, "Remnants", was created using discarded fibres collected from years of teaching weaving workshops - breathing new life from the castoffs of one creative moment into another.

She loves sharing her creative knowledge to ignite your inner artist through a range of unique fibre-based workshops across Scotland. Visit the events page for the next classes available in your area.

In 2022, Stephanie has released her first book “Playful Peg Loom Weaving” - A modern approach to the ancient technique of peg loom weaving, plus 17 projects to make.

When she is not busy in her garden studio surrounded by wool, Stephanie can be found with her head in a novel, mastering the mystical art of the coffee bean, or dreaming about her next adventure on the seaside.
